About the Club
Based in one of Melbourne's Bayside towns and founded in 1942, the Mentone Athletic Club has a proud history of producing highly successful and competitive athletes.
Mentone Athletic Club has a culture built on camaraderie, fitness and fun for senior athletes aged 13+ with a varying range of fitness and abilities. We have coaching for summer and winter events, including middle distance running, sprinting, hammer, discus and other throwing events and jumping events including pole vault. We can also boast some internationally competitive athletes who are only too willing to offer advice and guidance to other Mentone athletes.
Our teams and athletes compete throughout the year in Interclub, Premier League and Victorian Championships as well as in Cross Country running during the winter season.
Throughout the year we have a social running group for people interested in having a bit of fun and staying fit. Many of these athletes also compete in our cross country team. For more information email the Club.
Mentone Athletic Club is always looking for new members to join our friendly Club and enjoy the community spirit. We encourage members of the community interested in joining the Club to contact us or visit on one of our training days and introduce yourself to a committee member or a coach. |
